The Housing Authority of the City of Americus has been participating in the federal E-Verify program since 10/24/2008. Our E-Verify User Number is 160424.
This means that all new hires will be checked through the e-verify system to determine their employment eligibility. Also in accordance with the State of Georgia's HB87 requirements all contractors for public works type of work must participate in the e-verify program and provide a signed affidavit prior to acceptance of their bids or before work begins.

Maintenance Mechanic Assistant: This position involves the performance of semi-routine and diversified duties in connection with repairs to and maintenance of buildings and grounds requiring semi-skilled journeyman level knowledge such as carpentry for woodwork repairs, plumbing repairs, electrical and painting work.
