The HAA is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Maintenance Mechanic Assistant.  This position involves the performance of semi-routine and diversified duties in connection with repairs to and maintenance of buildings and grounds requiring semi-skilled journeyman level knowledge such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.  Education and Experience include graduation from high school or GED equivalent, two or more years' semi-skilled experience in one or more of the building trades or equivalent, and have a class C or better driver's license with no major violations.  Starting Salary $13.98 per hour or dependent on qualifications, plus excellent benefits.  Interested persons must submit a complete job application at the Housing Authority of Americus, 825 Mayo Street.  Applications must be received by 06/07/2021 at 5:00 pm.  Successful applicant will have to successfully complete a drug screening test, criminal background check, driver's history check, and credit check.  Housing Authority is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
